Abstract

The results obtained using two different methodologies in the computation of the growth volume in a double sampling inventory of a beech forest in Navarra are presented. In one of such methodologies it is supossed that the diameter increments are not available. The models used in the construction of the ecuations of growth volume are presented. The articles ends analizing the costs of both methodologies and suggesting the stratification of the type trees to be felled previously to the construction of the ecuation of growth volume.
