Log shape determination of Pinus hartwegii Lindl. in Northeastern Mexico
Abstract
This paper presents the results obtained in a research project aiming the establishment of an appropriated method for determining the stem shaoe of Pinus hartwegii Lindl. trees. Three taper equation models have been tested: polinomial regression of second degree, polinomial regression of fifth degree and combined variable model. Second and fifth degree regression models are the best ones for stem shape fitting.Downloads
