Abstract

In this work a new version of the methodology for phytoclimatic reconstruction of the past is described, based on growth tree-ring series. Employing this methodology the phytoclimatic analysis of some centuries is carried out, using climatic information from several meteorological Spanish stations. The reconstructions often expand backward in time to the 11th century. The main tools for the analysis are supra-annual elaborations, which integrate the phytoclimatic data of a period, and frequency polynomials, which take into account the variability.
