I'm not sure if my manuscript falls within the scope of the journal or if it fulfils the journal's requisites, how long will take to have an answer from the editors?
Upon submission, manuscripts undergo cursory inspection at the editorial office to compliance with the instructions to authors. Manuscripts that do not match the requisites for publication (please refer to the authors’ guidelines) will be typically rejected within 7-20 days, depending on the time of the year. Manuscripts that pass this first step will be assigned to an appropriate Associate Editor, who may then reject or start the round of evaluation.
Not at all.

After the first round of evaluation, the Editor can decide to reject, reject encouraging resubmission, recommend major changes, minor changes or accept. Nevertheless, in the second round of evaluation, usually only rejection (encouraging resubmission or nor), minor changes, or accepted will be the recommendation in order to reduce the reviewer work. Take into consideration that answers to the referees and editors are very important to take the final decision.
