Analysis and modeling of diameter distributions of Pinus pinaster Ait. in Galicia
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to compare five density functions (“A” of Charlier, Weibull, Pearl-Reed, Johnson SB and Gamma) in describing diameter distributions in stands of Pinus pinaster in Galicia. The material of the study consists of 454 diameter distributions obtained from 112 sample plots. The behaviour of each one of the five functions was compared using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness fit test. Finally, prediction equations were developed for the “A” of Charlier, Weibull and Gamma functions relating the parameters with the stand variables to construct stand tables.Downloads
